The art direction is inspired by likes of Gerry Anderson or Simon Stalenhag and also StarWars in general =D
Paterns are hinting navy camo system called DAZZLE, which I could not fully flesh out, because dazzle is designed to distort the shapes and that is not what you want on your CONCEPT art.
